c.35 Fieldfare

Clear & sunny, 4°C.

A party of around 35 Fieldfares was a nice surprise this morning.  I heard them 'chakking' from the top of a tree by the stone bridge, but they flew off before I was able to get my camera out.  The only other thing of note was a Robin which perched nicely in the sunshine with the water as a backdrop, on the straight stone wall over by Bib Knowl.  Unfortunately it had apparently been feeding in the mud, so its bill was a bit grubby!
